greenhouse gas emissions
-
Fossil carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in megatonnes of CO2 equivalent (Mt CO2eq) per year of 54 African countries. Fossil CO2 emissions are from sources such as fossil fuel combustion and industrial processes like cement, metal and chemical production. They exclude emissions from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF).
Charts -
Annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per African country in megatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year (Mt CO2eq/yr). GHGs include carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and flourinated gases (F-gases). Emissions from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) are not included. See metadata for full source information and terms of use.
